Xperience LCMS Redesign: Optimizing UX/UI and Introducing Translation Features for Syfadis

Overview

Syfadis approached me to assist in integrating a new translation feature into their SaaS product, Xperience. During the project, I discovered additional usability challenges that needed to be addressed for a seamless integration. This led to a comprehensive redesign of the LCMS Xperience back office—a Learning Content Management System used by over 100 companies. The redesign aimed to enhance usability, streamline navigation, and successfully incorporate the new translation feature for more efficient resource management.

Problem statement

The backoffice of the Learning Content Management System (LCMS Xperience) was difficult to navigate, making it inefficient for users to manage and translate learning resources.

Key challenges included:
- The absence of a translation feature for adding new resources.

- A complex and fragmented navigation system, requiring excessive steps to complete tasks.

- An outdated UI that did not align with modern SaaS design standards.

Solution

To address these issues, I led a UX redesign focusing on both functionality and usability:
- Persona Workshops & User Journeys: Facilitated workshops with the Syfadis team to identify and analyze six key user personas.
- Mapped their user journeys to uncover pain points in the current system.
-Optimized User Flow: Reduced the number of clicks required to complete tasks from six to three by merging redundant steps and eliminating unnecessary pages.

- Translation Feature UX: Designed an intuitive interface for the new translation functionality, ensuring seamless resource additions.

- Modern UI Refresh: Updated the backoffice interface to align with current SaaS standards, improving visual hierarchy and usability
